Product Information
Part of the Jacques Lamy Collection
Asian influenced cast stone planter for indoor or outdoor use.
The Bali Planter is part of French artist Jacques Lamy's Asian Collection. It is a component of the Zen-like Bali trio, which consists of the Bali Jardinière, the Bali Planter, and the Bali Planter with Lid. Round and slightly tapered at the bottom with a “collar" on the top, the Bali Planter has four square niches inset on the barrel.
In the group photograph, the Bali Planter sits behind other pieces in the Asian Collection, perched atop the Large Classic Pediment. One can see the resemblance between it and the Bali Jardinière, which is situated catty-cornered from it on the ground at the right side of the picture. The two square Bombay Planters sit in front of the Bali Planter; the round Small Sumatra Planter and the Small Classic Pediment are found to its right. Note that each of these planters carries the square niche motif embedded in their sides.
